**Sixth Grade Math-**In the upcoming week, the students will finish their work with fractions. We will practice multiplication and division of fractions and mixed numbers. Then students will use those skills to solve equations containing fractions. Students will write equations from application problems and then solve them. Solving equations is the last skill of the chapter so students should begin preparing for the chapter assessment.

**7A Math—**Students will finish the unit on inequalities. Students will write, solve and graph inequalities. Students will focus on vocabulary, details of application problems and understanding how inequalities and equations are similar and different.

**7B Math—**Students have begun their unit on Geometry. This unit has a significant number of vocabulary words that students will need to be able to identify, draw, describe and use in problems presented to them. Students have a vocabulary chart and have created a Quizlet to help them learn the vocabulary in this unit. Students should be practicing their vocabulary for 10-15 minutes per day so they are ready when the assessment comes.

**Algebra--**Students have begun chapter 8. In this chapter students will begin their work with polynomials. This chapter begins the journey into material the students may never have seen before. Students may need to put in more time reviewing their notes and practicing skills to become proficient at them.

**Eighth Grade Math-**Students are working with coordinate grids in this unit. Students will graph, interpret graphs, and relate graphs to functions. Students will need to use logic and problem-solving skills to be successful in this unit.
