7A Math--On Monday, the students will have an assessment on rates and proportions. Tuesday the class will meet up with their first-grade math buddies. When we work with Mrs. Borchardt’s class, the seventh graders will help the first graders with addition and subtraction by participating in an activity.
7B Math-- Students will end their fraction unit with an assessment on fractions on Monday, since it is their only day of class. When they return to class after the Thanksgiving break, students will begin their work with ratios, rates and proportions.
Algebra-- We will finish chapter 4 next week with the chapter test. Students have been given their exam notecards. They should begin filling them with information that they can use on the mid-term exam that will take place in January. The notecard can include formulas, example, rules and graphs. It must be in the student’s own handwriting and they must be responsible and have it for the exam. Students must have their own calculator and notecard on the day of the exam. Please encourage responsibility and preparedness.
Eighth Grade Math- On Monday, the students will demonstrate an understanding of exponents, scientific notation, the Pythagorean theorem, and the distance formula. Students are allowed a calculator for part of the exam and a notecard for the entire exam. The notecard can have any important information the students may want to reference on the exam.
