General information: Next week like so many in May, have activities that will prevent a full week of math classes from happening. On Wednesday, Washington Caldwell School District will be hosting their annual Senior Brunch. This will affect Algebra and 7th grade math on Wednesday. On Thursday the school will participate in the annual track meet. This event means there will be no math classes on Thursday, other than the afternoon 8th grade math class.
6A Math--- Geometry will continue to be our focus. Students will move from area of figures to the volume and surface area of figures. This will finish up the chapter. Our chapter test will be the week of May 16. More details and a study guide will be provided soon.
Algebra- On Friday, the class will take their last Chapter Test of the year. It will be on Chapter 12, Data Analysis. Please have you student prepare for the assessment. Students will then prepare for the final exam over the next 2 weeks. The last assessment of the year, their Final Exam, is now on Thursday, May 26 instead of Wednesday the May 25.
7A Math--- Proportions and similar figures will be our focus this week. We will only have class on Monday, Tuesday and Friday. These concepts are still in chapter 2. We will finish chapter 2 the week of May 16, depending the MAPS testing schedule.
7B Math- We will finish a cumulative review to practice some older skills. Then we will begin our final chapter of the year on equations and inequalities. Students should keep practicing computational skills because they will help in the efficiency and accuracy of solving equations.
Math (8)- We will continue to review lines, slope-intercept form and tables with graphing. We are in the final chapter. Students should prepare for the next assessment by utilizing the notes and their math norebooks.
