Sixth Grade Math--Students are working with breaking down numbers. We are focusing on common factors, prime factors and using them to solve problems. Student should practice their math facts. The more fluent they are in their math facts, the less time it will take to complete math homework.
Seventh Grade Math— The seventh graders will continue their work with proportions. Students are working on learning how relationships between quantities work. Proportions are a way make comparisons. Students will be applying skills and solving problems involving proportional relationships. Students will have a quiz on Wednesday. It will be on the first part of chapter 4.
Eighth Grade Math-- This week students will finish up the unit on ratios, rates and proportions (chapter 4). Students will participate in review activities to prepare them for their assessment. Students will take the Chapter 4 Assessment on Friday, December 7th. Students should use their online resources and their notes to prepare and practice for their assessment.
Algebra-- Students worked on chapter 5 this week. The focus of the chapter was linear equations and their forms. Students will work with parallel and perpendicular line equations in the upcoming week to finish the chapter. We will review at the end of the week and have a test on Monday, December 10th. Students should also begin preparing their notecard for the semester exam in January. As of this week students will have 5 of the 7 chapters of material presented to them. Students must hand write their notecard. They may have any information, examples, or formulas they think will be beneficial to them while taking the exam. Any questions please email Ms. Bozio
