Sixth Grade Math- The sixth graders will end the quarter with a mid-chapter test. Students have just finished the unit on addition and subtraction of fractions and mixed numbers. This unit included application problems and solving equations containing fractions. Students will take the test on Tuesday. On Wednesday, there will be a shortened class due to the Geography Bee and there is no school on Friday.
7A Math— Equations have been the focus since returning from break. This class will end the quarter with a test on equations. Next week is a bust week. On Monday, the class will meet with their Math Buddies, on Wednesday, the Geography Bee will take place, and there is no school on Friday. This leaves us Tuesday to review and Thursday to take the test. Students should prepare by practicing. They can use previous assignments to help them study.
7B Math— With second quarter ending next week, students will finish their unit on percent. We will spend the beginning of the week reviewing the concepts and formulas of chapter 6. Then we will end the week with a test on Thursday. Students should not wait until the last minute to prepare for the test. The test will be the last assessment grade of the quarter.
Algebra-- The next week will be spent ending the first semester. We will cover the last concepts needed for the semester exam. Students were given notecards that they may use on the exam. They may put any important information on the notecards they wish. The exam will take place on Thursday morning. It will take 90 minutes, containing concepts from chapters 1-7.
Eighth Grade Math- Equations have been the focus since returning from break. This class will end the quarter with a test on equations on Thursday. Students should use their notes to prepare for the chapter 7 test. Students can also use previous assignments to help them study.
