**Sixth Grade Math--**Sixth grade has finished their chapter. The chapter test will be Wednesday of week. The test will include everything in the chapter. This means the students must have the US Customary units of measure conversions memorized, the Metric System conversion steps memorized, know the formula for the circumference of a circle and all of the area formulas, and know the volume and surface area formulas too. This test covers a significant amount of material. Students should already be studying and preparing.

**7A and 7B Math--**Students will begin chapter 9, continuing their study of Geometry. This chapter will have many formulas and figure identification. Students need to have a calculator for every class in order to complete their work efficiently. We will begin next week with perimeter, circumference and area of 2-dimensional figures.

**Eighth Grade Math--**The eighth graders have begun working with lines and their slopes. Students will be calculating slope, using slope intercepts to graph, and writing equations in slope intercept form. We will work through chapter 8 on slope over the next couple of weeks.

**Algebra--**Students will continue to work through chapter 9 next week. The focus will be on solving quadratic equations. Students will finish the chapter by the end of the week. Since there is no school on Friday, the students will take the test for chapter 9 on Monday. It will still count for the third quarter, I just wanted to give the students extra time to prepare.
