Congratulations to Bulldog Math Teams! The Math Teams from Washington competed in the regional math Meet on Tuesday, March 10th at the Kenosha County Building. At the 5th & 6th grade level, 10 teams competed. The Bulldogs placed 8th overall. Jonathan Forkner and Zoie Kinjerski were our top finishers at this level. At the 7th and 8th grade level, 11 teams competed. The Bulldogs took 1st Place and have earned a spot in the Mega Math Meet in Madison in May. We had 3 top 10 finishers out of the 44 eighth graders that competed. Joseph Lambie took 1st place, Adam Forkner was in a tie for 7th place, and Ross Bluhm finished in a tie for 10th place. Payton Peterson placed 3rd out of the 44 seventh graders that competed. The students worked hard, stayed focused, and brought their best to the competition. I am proud to work with such talented students each day. Great job on your accomplishements!
Congratulations to Adam Forkner (8th grade), Joseph Lambie (8th grade) and Gus Frost (5th Grade) who qualified for the final round in the national math competition of MathCON. They will compete again 700 students from across the nation on April 25th at the UIC in CHICAGO! GOOD LUCK MATHLETES!
