Students in my section of Bulldog-TIme have been practicing for math competitions that are coming up. Students will be selected to compete based on problem solving ability in class, attitude, ability to work with others and basic skills. Students may be selected to complete in one competition, but not all. As students are selected, they will be notified and given permission slips to participate. The first of the math competitions is on January 15 in Whitewater. Four students from each of the grades 5-8 will compete in the regional math meet. In February, Washington will host both Math24 tournaments. The first tournament will be for the 4th and 5th grade competitors. The second tournament will be for the 6th and 7th grade competitors. In February, all students in grades 5-8 will participate in MathCON, a national math competition. The final competition of the year will be held after school in March. The is the Wisconsin Mathematics Council competition for the state. If you have any questions about these math competitions, please contact Ms. Bozio
